The Grove Shopping Center
Year after year, Los Angeles residents flock to shopping areas such as the Grove and Rodeo to not only purchase the latest items, but view the Instagram-worthy spectacles that light up the store windows. This year’s holiday window displays offer a mix of tradition with technology — from neon "hashtags" to metallic starred backdrops, as well as cozy woodland themes.
So, grab your nearest and dearest and check out these popular window design trends for this holiday season from around Los Angeles!
NEON
Neon letters and symbols are no longer destined to live a dive-bar life — they’ve made their way to beautifully styled holiday window displays. This trend demonstrates an energetic, modern take on the holidays with neon light as its center focus. Some windows boast neon written words and hashtags, while others help highlight dazzling colored backdrops.

METALLIC
Everywhere you look metals are a hot trend — from the warm gold, brass and copper accents to the cool chrome and silver. These window displays boast minimal color palettes and holiday basics stripped to the essential, such as star geometry and abstract horns. Reflection plays a large part in the dramatic quality of this trend, allowing displays to "sparkle" as shoppers walk past.

HYGGE
There’s no better time of year to embrace Scandinavian style than during the winter holidays, and window display design is no exception. Hygge — an untranslatable Danish word that connotes coziness — is a popular inspiration this year, comprising of reclaimed wood elements, greenery and soft textures of cotton and yarn.
