RISE of the Jack-o’-Lanterns: A New Halloween Tradition

It’s October, and the Halloween spirit is in the air! During this time, a myriad of events take place to surprise, scare and delight us. One such event is the RISE of the Jack-o’-Lanterns. First started in Long Island, NY,
this event launched in California last year, and was a huge success.

For the full month of October, attendees can view more than 5,000 hand-carved, illuminated Jack-o’-Lanterns created by professional artists and sculptors. Arranged in creative ways along a scenic, third-mile walking
trail, the displays are set to original music scores.

This family-friendly event has expanded this year to San Diego, at the San Diego Safari Park, as well as to Arcadia, CA at Santa Anita Park. It’s also making its triumphunt return to Descanso Gardens in La Canada-Flintridge, CA.
