Dunn-Edwards Inspires California Artist’s Designs
2019 Trend Colors are Featured in Enamel Pin Collection
LOS ANGELES – (April 10, 2019) – Dunn-Edwards has collaborated with California designer Katie Thierjung on a limited-edition collection of enamel pins inspired by the company’s 2019 trending colors. Launching today on The Uncommon Place, Thierjung’s online shop, The Uncommon Place x Dunn-Edwards 2019 Trends Collection includes three pins that feature the latest Dunn-Edwards trending color palette, including the 2019 Color of the Year, Spice of Life.
Inspired by the Mid-century modern architecture and colorful front doors seen throughout Palm Springs and highlighted during Modernism Week, the pins feature three classic home designs. “I love using vibrant colors in my work, so I was thrilled by the opportunity to partner with Dunn-Edwards and spotlight its beautiful paint shades,” says Thierjung.
The 2019 Color and Design Trends feature five color palettes in the theme of “Spirited Journeys.” Dunn-Edwards color expert and stylist Sara McLean chose the colors through finding inspiration in technology, pop culture, fashion, food and music. To explain this year’s trends, McLean says, “These colors are influenced by our culture and tell a story about what’s happening in our lives and the world around us. I wanted to show an appreciation for the past with an excitement for what lies ahead.”
The Uncommon Place x Dunn-Edwards 2019 Trends Collection showcases eight 2019 trend colors: DET439 Spice of Life, DE5136 Cherry Chip, DE5234 Apricot Appeal, DE5673 Pale Cactus, DE5405 Summer Sun, DE5636 Get Up and Go, DE5195 Bright Mango and DE5731 Port Hope.
