Previewing Modernism Week 2018 With Dunn-Edwards

It’s a mod, mod, world out there. At Dunn-Edwards, we’re gearing up once more for Palm Springs Modernism Week — well, fall preview week, that is. Each October the desert city previews what is to come the following February at their annual celebration of Mid-Century Modern architecture and design.
A History of Dunn-Edwards At Modernism Week
At last year’s festivities, Dunn-Edwards presented the inaugural Palm Springs Door Tour, a crazy-colorful bike tour through the Palm Springs mid-century modern Indian Canyons’ neighborhood. We also provided paint sponsorship of the recently remodeled Thomboy Properties’ Rennick House. We’re proud to continue our support of the amazing design and cultural celebration, starting with preview week this October 19-22, 2017.

Modernism Week Fall Preview October 19-22
At this year’s fall preview, Dunn-Edwards is pleased announce our continued support of Thomboy Properties with paint sponsorship. Utilizing choice colors from our Perfect Palette® paint collection, Thomboy Properties will revitalize their Moroccan-inspired Palm Springs style home, which features loads of character. Get your cameras out, because the front door is Instagram-ready painted in Pink Dahlia (DET419). The door makes a striking new pink addition in the historic Indian Canyons neighborhood where you’ll already find the famous #thatpinkdoor.
Inside, the property has a base of Dunn-Edwards’ Whisper (DEW340). The ideal neutral tone is contrasted by strong pops of color, including Edge of Black (DE6349), Pink Dahlia (DET419), and Le Corbusier Crush (DET421).
At Modernism Week Fall Preview the eye-catching, modernist landmark, the Saguaro hotel, will also be sporting a fresh coat of Dunn-Edwards paint. The color-happy haunt features 14 custom-formulated colors based on native wildflower and plant colors found in the Colorado Desert of California’s Coachella Valley. The renewal of the colors completes a year of refreshment for the property which opened in its current iteration as the Saguaro in 2012 (and originally constructed in 1977).
