Dunn-Edwards Goes Back to School This Fall

Artistic Inspiration

As the dog days of summer give way to the cooler temperatures of fall, children throughout the region return to school. While parents may be busy gathering school supplies and organizing car pools, school faculty and administrators are tirelessly readying their buildings for the best school year yet. In many cases, this includes a fresh coat of paint. With the highest quality paint products trusted by both design experts and painting professionals, Dunn-Edwards’ wide range of colors help bring life to everything from school locker rooms to hallways and playgrounds.

The faculty and administrators at Charles Helmers Elementary School in Valencia, California were among the many readying their facilities this summer. As the recent recipient of a grant from organic seed company, Seeds of Change, the elementary school sought to create an inspiring atmosphere for their newly-created Garden Program.

For the garden, which is fittingly nestled in between Pre-K and Kindergarten areas, the school used Dunn-Edwards exterior paints to help make that inspirational atmosphere a reality. In fact, local artist Elizabeth Rydall used Dunn-Edwards to create a beautiful mural for the garden, transforming an exterior wall into a lively and enriching focal point. Rydall, an art teacher herself, contributed a great deal to this project by displaying her wonderful work for the whole school to enjoy.

Additionally, in Long Beach, California, Woodrow Wilson Classical High School gave their boy’s locker room a makeover. The Woodrow Wilson Bruins show off their school pride by using Dunn-Edwards paints to match their gold and cardinal school colors. Woodrow Wilson is in for a great upcoming year with a bold new paint job that will surely rally school spirit.

Dunn-Edwards is proud to help enrich educational environments throughout the southwest for generations to come. With our vast array of superior quality, zero-VOC paints, creating welcoming and engaging environments in which children can sprout has never been easier.
