Huntsman Architectural Group Wins IIDA Award

Design Trends

Congratulations to Huntsman Architectural Group! With the support of Dunn-Edwards paint donations, the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center (SFCAPC) won a prestigious IIDA award in the category "Against the Odds".

Within an historic San Francisco firehouse that has served the neighborhood since 1896, the SFCAPC serves the needs of the community. Offering support services for families and children, the 6,000 square-foot space houses counseling rooms, a large playroom, kitchen facilities and office and support space for counselors and administrative staff.

Since the facility is focused on families and children, the interior redesign is vibrant and happy, with color enveloping the spaces. Below are the Dunn-Edwards Perfect Palette ® colors used in the space.

DE5391 Sunflower

DEC769 Ranier White

DE5410 Golden Glitter

DE5475 Martian

DEA109 Bonfire Flame

Innovation and creative thinking were needed with an extremely limited budget and resources. Also, faced with the challenges of an older structure, the construction process to overhaul the facility seemed daunting, but Huntsman Architectural Group overcame them with the assistance of many resources and an abundance of sheer determination in support of the great city of San Francisco. Again, congratulations!
