Country Caper Restaurant Focus: Maison Lautrec
12/12/2018 | Grace Lennon |
Continuing with our Color Trends 2019, we are focusing on designs that explore the color and design of the "Country Caper" trend. Classic country characteristics work beautifully in contemporary settings and are used by some of the finest interior designers to create eclectic spaces. Timeless, with a contemporary twist, this look draws on elements such as stressed timber, green and pastel hues, and floral patterns and themes, all offset against a modern backdrop.
interior of restaurant
Set among the hustle and bustle of Pigalle, Paris, four friends have created a place for a clientele just like themselves — laid-back, warm where they can eat and drink well. Specializing in expert mixology and seasonal produce, Maison Lautrec is the hot new bistro on every Parisian’s lips this season.
interior of restaurant
Maison Lautrec’s Art Deco design fits in well in the "eat, drink and be merry" spirit of Pigalle, with its marble tables, gold velvet upholstery, globe chandelier and wood paneling, all finished off with a considered selection of chic, exotic plants.
bar seating
The main design idea was to create a bistro, with small tables for two people, wall seats, mirrors, copper pots and bistro-style chairs. Pigalle is a lively neighborhood, where there is a real culture of bars and parties. It was important to create a dynamic between the restaurant and the people who come just to have a drink.
