Interior Low-Odor / Zero-VOC Paints

ECOSHIELD™
is a low-odor/Zero-VOC interior paint formulated with no added
solvents, so it has very low odor. Ecoshield is ideal when painting
must be done while the building is occupied because it is less
offensive to people bothered by paint odor.
Ecoshield is designed for projects where indoor air quality is a
concern and is recommended for schools, hospitals, hotels, homes,
office buildings and other closed-ventilation buildings.
Ecoshied is available in a Primer (W 600),
Flat
(W 601), Low Sheen (W
602) and Semi-Gloss (W
603) finishes.

Paint odor is caused by
two factors - the type of resin used and the amount of solvent added.
All resins have odor to some degree, but Ecoshield uses a
special resin with a very low odor compared to most commercial resins.
Ecoshield also has none of the solvents that are added to conventional
water-based paints. As paint dries, solvents evaporate naturally,
releasing odor. Since Ecoshield doesn't contain added solvents, it has
very low odor.

| Step 1: |
Test paints are applied to black charts and allowed to dry for 7 days.
|
|

| Step 2: |
Charts are
placed in an abrasion testing machine that scrubs back and forth with a
nylon brush and an abrasive cleaner.

The machine is stopped at 125 cycles, and the scrubbing is evaluated.
