The ENSO advantage

Because ENSO has virtually no odor during and after application, it allows even sensitive people to enjoy the freshly painted site immediately. So it’s perfect for use in occupied spaces, such as homes, hospitals, schools, and hotels.

But unlike many low odor products that leave a surface sticky or soft, enso delivers top performance, comparable to that of premium conventional paints.

ENSO outperforms the competition

Scrub Test - ENSO easily outdistances other brands in durability after 200 scrub cycles.

Test Method: Paints are applied to black charts. After drying for seven days, the charts are placed in an abrasion testing machine and stopped at 200 cycles. Complete film deterioration occurs when a full line of black background is exposed.

Flow Test - ENSO receives a "10" for exceptional smoothness in flow tests compared to other brands.

Test Method: Paints are applied to black and white charts using a special blade. After drying vertically for 24 hours, the charts are examined to determine the smoothness of the finish against a standard Leneta scale from 1 = Poor (Not Smooth) to 10 = Excellent (Completely Smooth).

Hide Test - After one coat, ENSO hides the black stripe almost completely, while a national brand reveals the dark color underneath.

Test Method: Paints are applied using a roller over a primed drywall surface with an eight-inch wide black stripe (flat finish).

The science of low odor paint

Paint odor is caused by two factors: the type of resin used and the amount of solvent added. All resins have odor to some degree, but ENSO uses a special high-performance resin with a very low odor compared to most premium resins.

ENSO also has none of the solvents that are added to conventional water-based paints. As paint dries, solvents evaporate naturally, releasing odor. Because ENSO doesn’t contain added solvents, it has very low odor.
